Do You know what ‘Skongs’ Are?

I know that lingerie terminology is advancing at a rapid pace but if I do not stay in touch on an hourly basis, it seems that new words are being developed by the minute. One of those words that I found yesterday was “skongs” (while I was shopping for sexy bridal lingerie for my sister too, imagine that!). At a glance, my thought was that it was a combination skirt and thong but upon further examination, I learned that a “skong” is a boy short panty and thong combination, too. When I saw actual examples of the panties, I realized I had seen them many times before but never heard them referred to as skongs.

As I continued my search for known lingerie labels that manufacture skongs, I was more confused because I found that some companies were indeed selling a skirt and thong combo as a skong. So it would appear that my initial description was accurate while the panty version is another take on the word. So that you can see both versions, I found two companies with a small selection of each.

Frederick’s of Hollywood offers the skirt version of the skong. Satin, rhinestone and vintage inspired, each piece is a short skirt with attached thong. And Lingerie Mart shows us some lace boy short thong combinations.
