So it is pretty obvious that in this day and age, everything is going to be going green.  Not only are people constantly finding ways to make alternative fuel so we get kick our gas-taking cars, but now, they are coming up with lingerie that is green!  Now – I did not think that there could be eco-friendly lingerie, but this organic silk lingerie set is actually one of many sets that is completely green and helps the environment when you wear them!

Now, you are probably wondering exactly how this silk is made and what makes it organic in the first place.  Well, it is honestly made via the cocoons spun by the larvae of the Bombyx Mori moth, the Mulberry silkworm.  Basically, when the silkworm hatches from its egg and starts to consume all of the fresh mulberry leaves and grow from just a small dot into a giant caterpillar.

Silk is an indulgence of which most luxury lingerie companies are aware. Beautiful silky fabrics made into exquisite garments, which become the trademarks of many high-end brands. Designers such as Iris Silks, Nichole de Carle, Spoylt and Madame V skillfully perform the work of artists by incorporating the very best of silk fabrics into their pieces.

Iris Silks is particularly noteworthy as their entire collection of lingerie and sleepwear is made from silk.
